The Lexington Saints are a youth rugby team located in Lexington, KY.  As the team was just getting started, they needed a logo for their mascot. The client wanted the logo to represent traditional rugby iconography (shield), some Kentucky representation (fence / horseshoe), and a halo to represent the mascot ‘Saints’.

After creating designs with hand-drawn sketches, I generated some ideas and were ready to start designing. I created two initial ideas, and after further communication with the client, we narrowed down the style and content we wanted to include. 

The logo entered the final stage and was refined into the finished product. The client was presented with a six-page presentation that included a visual construction breakdown, a geometric construction graph, the typography for the brand, the color scheme, and some mockups for real-life visuals.
